The NSW Handball Association in cooperation with the Sydney Olympic Park Authority and the NSW Department of Tourism, Sport and Recreation presented the Handball Pacific Cup and Oceania World Championship Qualification Tournament 2005 for Women in Sydney, 23 to 28 May 2005.

Teams from Australia, New Caledonia, New Zealand and Tahiti Nui competed in this event, which was organised in close collaboration with the Oceania Handball Federation and the International Handball Federation.
